Dayanand Arya Kanya Mahavidyalaya is an educational institution run by Arya Vidya Sabha. It is an organization run on the principles of Swami Dayanand Saraswati, an advocate of women’s rights and education. It’s a girl’s college situated in the backward area of North Nagpur, which is a reserved Constituency. Needless to say, the majority of girls studying here either belong to a minority community (Sindhi) or schedule caste and tribes. Hailing from such a background, the girls are not encouraged towards higher education due to poverty and early marriages.
The college is dedicated to the upliftment of socially and economically backward girls. The aim of our college is to develop the intellectual, physical, and mental faculties of the students. The management body also tries its level best to help as many girls as possible to attain higher education with their generous help and motivation. Every year the fees of as many as 50 girls are paid by the philanthropists. The college provides safe & healthy environment to the girls in which they can undertake any curricular or co-curricular activities whole heartedly for their all round development.
