I. (a) Aim of the Hobby Workshop
This Hobby Workshop was established in 1960 by the Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University under the scheme of University Grand Commission in order to develop the creative part of personality of University students by guiding them in various hobbies. The hobbies in which guidance is provided at present are as under :
1. Wood Art
2. Electronics
3. Photography
4. Clay Modeling & Painting
The activity is solely considered as an extra-curricular one to be carried outside the college hours. It does not form a part of general education or vocational training.

The Nagpur University was established on 4th August, 1923 with six affiliated colleges and 927 students. During 1947, the number of students increased to about 9000 accompanied by the improvement and diversification of curricula and expansion in the range of subjects.
