Structure of the course

Programme Outcomes:

Provide quality advising and counselling for students considering to enter the library and information science profession.
Ensure that LIIS students acquire the knowledge, skills, and values that are fundamental to professional competence in the library and information services field.
Provide general library skills and information literacy training for all students at CSI.
Provide leadership in the field of library and information science in south central Idaho.
Build lasting relationships with students and graduates.
To develop skilled, efficient and professional library and information professionals for the society. (Librarian, LIS teachers and Other Professionals)
To provide LIS education through extensive and innovative use of new technology
To inculcate innovation and research attitude in the young professionals.
To develop a true human being who will serve for the noble profession of librarianship and serve the society lifetime through dissemination of right information at right time to right user.
Recognize issues related to privacy, ethics, intellectual property and copyright in order to respect the rights of others, comply with laws and contracts, or safeguard personal information.
