Dr. Mrs. N. M. Wazalwar is working as Associate Professor in Department of Statistics and is having 33 years of teaching experience at Post graduate level in the university. Dr. Wazalwar has published five research papers, two research students are working under her guidance and one student has completed M. Phil. dissertation under her supervision. She visited university of Lisbon, Portugal. Her areas of research are Stochastic Processes and Bio-statistics, Multivariate Analysis. She has provided Statistical Consultancy to the researchers in Microbiology, Political Science, Engineering, Architecture, English, Medical Sciences, etc.

Department of Statistics runs consultancy in the department. Researchers in different disciplines approach department for the analysis of their data. Faculty members of the department help researchers in various fields by providing them statistical consultancy at reasonable rate. Till date we have provided consultancy to the researchers in Microbiology, Management, Engineering, Library Science, Political Science, Architecture, Medical Sciences, etc.
The Nagpur University was established on 4th August, 1923 with six affiliated colleges and 927 students. During 1947, the number of students increased to about 9000 accompanied by the improvement and diversification of curricula and expansion in the range of subjects. The expansion of library and sports facilities occurred during these years for the intellectual and physical well being of the students...
